FORMABLE Fire Safety Design is operated by Dean and Dale Halvorson.

 

Dean, has wide and varied experience in providing design services in fire safety design based on the New Zealand Building Code Acceptable Solutions. 

Dean holds two degrees from Victoria University of Wellington, a Bachelor of Building Science, and also a Bachelor of Architecture (Hons.) He worked for a multi-discipline engineering and architectural consultancy firm for 11 years from graduating university. During this time he developed a wide range of skills and knowledge in construction design. Dean is also a Licensed Building Practitioner (Design 2).

 

Following working within the multi-discipline design office, Dean has had a further 17 years of experience, operating and developing a design practice that specialises in providing fire safety reports that work for your projects. 

 

Deans work experience over these years has included providing the fire safety design work for many projects including:

 

  • A wide range of educational projects. 

  • Various health and residential care facilities.

  • Community and cultural projects. 

  • Substantial commercial buildings and developments.

  • Communal residential projects including multi-unit apartments.

 

This variety and degree of experience gives him an in depth knowledge of the fire safety requirements set out in the New Zealand Building Code Acceptable Solutions and innovative means of applying these solutions.

Deans wife, Dale, provides accounting and general administrative support to ensure that we can keep providing a great service for each of our clients.
